If you haven't played COD4 online then you're seriously missing out... considering this game came out in 2007, the online presence is phenomenal... I haven't played anything online that has kept me as addicted as COD4
Hmmm... the more I read on, the less I actually want to have a look at this server now... However, it seems to me that, so long as you show a bit of common sense and don't cross the admins it should be ok
Still.... a lot of negativity about the admins doesn't inspire a lot of confidence and makes me feel as though it's not really worth the effort
and a good choice it is... but realistic moving & shooting??? I think not... do you really think that it'd take a clip and a half of ammo to down a single enemy soldier irl Not reallly... and as for the moving... in reality your field of vision would be much greater and you yourself would be able to manouvre much better than the in game character does... I did really like this game, but I did think that it was made to be far too difficult for it's own good
I've played all the COD games so far and these are my thoughts:
COD (the first one on PC) - brilliant, good storyline and enough action to quell even Arnie's bloodlust.
COD2 (PC also) - an excellent follow-up to the first game and much more immersive... there were point's in this game that I actually found myself crouching down with my character as though by doing so, I wouldn't get blown away by Nazi MG's.
COD3 (PS2) - enjoyable, but not as much as the first two.
COD4 Modern Warfare (PS3) - Although a highly addictive game, this only applies to the online gameplay as the story mode, whilst had some really good bits (like the Sniper mission where you get all Ghillied up and the escape afterward) is mediocre at best.
COD World of War (PS3) - Excellent story mode, brilliant action and gore, absolutely runny dogshite when it came to the online mode, but made up for this with the highly addictive Nazi Zombie modes, which they've recently improved by adding 2 new maps for. As I beleive a few people have already mentioned, the online gameplay for this one sucks a rhinoserous' ring peice, mainly due to Treyarch making the multiplayer maps so incredibly large so that you spend the entire match looking for your first kill.
I'm really looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 (I've actually already pre-ordered it ) though and I'm glad that it's been given back to Infinity Ward for the online content as I think I wouldn't have bothered if it was given to Treyarch again
My thought's exactly... I may have missed something somewhere along the line but I thought that the title of the Derby being "Destruction" would actually speak for itself... ergo wrecking is actually part of it
I'll be up for this one next year as well... I've never been to Scotland before so it'd be cool if it is held up there.... Only problem I may have with going to this one is Money as I've got a Stag do in Magaluf next June and will probably be totally skint for most of June and July
I had a really good time this weekend, so thanks to Mark and Jason for the arrangements and thanks again to Bob Smith without whom I couldn't have gone
It was really nice to meet everyone who came down. I think I may have drunk too much the night before the race and talked a lot of waffle to a few people though... so apologies for that.
Apologies for being withdrawn and quiet Saturday evening as well, I was totally knackered and barely had any energy left to think let alone speak ... and I'm sure I wasn't alone in that feeling lol.
Overall, I had some really good races and chat's with everyone, and had a really good time... so thanks again to all who made it possible
Was the Chandler's Ford meet the one where the one dude brought the blonde milf with the awesome titties?
@Franky... I had no idea Jason had done this for me until he phoned me last night and said... So Thanks Unky J and thanks again Bob Smith... I GET TO GO KARTING
